چکیده

Abstract Solar jets are ubiquitous phenomena in the solar atmosphere. They important mass and energy transport to upper atmosphere interplanetary space. Here, we report a detailed analysis of small-scale chromospheric jet with high-resolution He i 10830 Å TiO 7057 images observed by 1.6 m aperture Goode Telescope at Big Bear Observatory. The observation reveals finest dark threads inside rooted intergranular lanes. Their width is equal telescope’s diffraction limit (?100 km). recurrent its association emergence convergence magnetic flux observed. Together other features like photospheric flow toward polarity inversion line, bald-patch configuration, earlier excitation helium atoms, propose that might be initiated reconnection U-shaped loop configuration. plasmoid configuration results from possible buoyancy reconnection, which reoccurs second step an overlying field line. Notably, second-step produces not only bidirectional cool or hot flows but also new feature may used explain behavior jet, since can driven reconnect again.

O ct 2 01 6 High resolution He I 10830 Å narrow - band imaging of an M - class flare . I - analysis of sunspot dynamics during flaring

In this paper, we report our first-step results of high resolution He i 10830 Å narrow-band imaging (bandpass: 0.5 Å) of an M1.8 class two-ribbon flare on July 5, 2012. The flare was observed with the 1.6 meter aperture New Solar Telescope at Big Bear Solar Observatory. For this unique data set, sunspot dynamics during flaring were analyzed for the first time. By directly imaging the upper chro...

Spicule emission profiles observed in He 10830 Å

Aims. Off-the-limb observations with high spatial and spectral resolution will help us understand the physical properties of spicules in the solar chromosphere. Methods. Spectropolarimetric observations of spicules in the He  10830 Å multiplet were obtained with the Tenerife Infrared Polarimeter on the German Vacuum Tower Telescope at the Observatorio del Teide (Tenerife, Spain). The analysis ...

Active cool stars and He I 10830 Å : the coronal connection

Context. The mechanism of formation of the He i 10830 Å triplet in cool stars has been subject of debate for the last 30 years. A relation between the X-ray luminosity and the He i 10830 Å flux was found in cool stars, but the dominant mechanism of formation in these stars (photoionization by coronal radiation followed by recombination and cascade, or collisional excitation in the chromosphere)...

Modeling T Tauri Winds from He I λ 10830 Profiles

The high opacity of He I λ10830 makes it an exceptionally sensitive probe of the inner wind geometry of accreting T Tauri stars. In this line blueshifted absorption below the continuum results from simple scattering of stellar photons, a situation which is readily modeled without definite knowledge of the physical conditions and recourse to multi-level radiative transfer. We present theoretical...

Ultra-high-resolution small- animal SPECT imaging

Today the majority of clinical molecular imaging procedures are carried out with single photon emitters and gamma cameras, in planar mode and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) mode. Thanks to the development of advanced multi-pinhole collimation technologies, SPECT imaging of small experimental animals is rapidly gaining in popularity. Whereas resolutions in routine clinical SP...
